I'm Pippa the sole creator behind Lowenek Art Studio.

I have always enjoyed being creative and love to make handmade gifts for people. As I have grown up I have tried many different mediums and always love learning new ones.

I studied Illustration at  Falmouth University, a fun course where I played with painting, printing and creating many different quirky characters. Following this I had a year working in a variety of jobs including a school, this led me into my teacher training. I enjoy passing on skills and building peoples confidence through the arts. Having graduated as an art teacher I decided to move slightly north to Surrey to explore a different countryside for a while balancing teaching part time with painting, I loved the contrast of the two different challenges. Over the 3 or so years I was there I grew in confidence from a NQT to leading the department. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the pupils and the opportunity to work in a well equipped department.

In January of 2021 I decided to move home to Cornwall, finally following my dream of setting up my own art studio on my parents farm in a barn. I can't wait to welcome you to Lowenek to make and create!
